Mindfulness for Concentration

Mindfulness practice is a type of meditation which teaches you how to focus your attention towards what is happening in the present moment. Research has shown that regular practice helps to relieve feelings of stress, quell anxious thoughts, increase concentration and creativity and even reduce pain.

These workshops, run by the Counselling service, introduce you to simple mindfulness exercises which give you insight into the nature of the mind and the origins of anxious feelings.

When and where?

These sessions are for students and are held at the AGLC training room every week during term time. Visit our Workshops page for more details.
