Improving Low Mood with CBT

Event details

Entry to this group is via Practitioner referral only.

This is a 4 week CBT course and attendance at each session is required.

This group is focused on managing symptoms of low mood by increasing our understanding on how our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interlinked.

If you can relate to any of the following symptoms, speak to your counsellor as you may be eligible for the group programme:

Low mood lasting two weeks or more

Not getting any enjoyment out of life

Feeling hopeless

Feeling tired or lacking energy

Not being able to concentrate on everyday things like reading the paper or watching television

Comfort eating or losing your appetite

Sleeping more than usual or being unable to sleep

Having suicidal thoughts or thoughts about harming yourself.

The group will provide opportunity to learn and practice CBT strategies and techniques to improve confidence in managing symptoms of low mood.

After completion of this group, you will have the option of attending our peer-led Support MOG ( Moving on Group) that meets during term-term, here at the service.
