Understanding Difficult Relationships: How to Spot, Avoid and Leave Difficult Relationships

Event details

In this workshop, we will look at the concept of love bombing, a description of an unhealthy relationship dynamic that has risen to prominence in recent years. It is mainly associated with romantic and sexual relationships, but it also occurs in families, friendships, collegial and professional relationships.

We will look at the hallmarks of love bombing and the cycle of devaluation and discard that often follows in its wake.

We will address how to identify red flags that may indicate a love bombing approach early in a relationship, how to leave these relationships and steps in recovery if we have been caught up in a love bombing dynamic.

We will also discuss green flags, aspects of a relationship that help us be more confident that a new relationship is starting on a good footing.
