Event details

This session is a face to face session, taking place in Wellbeing Rooms, 1.63 Large Group Room, Simon Building. This event will adhere to any current social distancing guidelines set out by the government at the time. This may result in the event being held online. Social distancing guidelines for face to face events will be sent to participants nearer the time of the scheduled event. This event will close for registration at 9 am on the day of the workshop. You will be unable to attend this face to face session unless you have booked online. We would advise that you take a Lateral Flow Test before you attend this session. You can pick a free test kit up from food outlets around the university or online.

Aim and objectives:

To understand the role of uncertainty in anxiety and how to manage this

To develop insight into how we can get stuck in cycles of fear and the role of avoidance in maintaining this

To learn how to use Graded Exposure Therapy to overcome our fears in a ways that feels manageable for us
