Bereavement group

Event details

Entry to this course is via Practitioner referral only

This is a 4 week course and attendance at each session is required.

If you have been affected by the death of someone, this can be a distressing time. Our distress can sometimes feel exacerbated and perpetuated by a world that does not seem to allow us the time to grieve. Or perhaps you cant grieve and this is also troubling you?

The Bereavement group will offer you a safe space to process your loss in a supportive environment, where you will meet other students who think and feel just like you. We use a psychoeducational approach, giving you the necessary information to understand that your distress is a normal response. It is usual for students who attend the bereavement group to identify that they have more in common with one another, than they do with some of their closest relationships.

After completion of this group, you will have the option of attending our peer-led Support MOG ( Moving on Group) that meets during term-term, here at the service.
