Getting Started: Help Yourself! Coping with Eating Distress

Attendance at the introductory session is compulsory in order to continue with the Coping with Eating Distress 5 week course.
This Getting started: Help Yourself! Coping with Eating Distress is a supportive workshop that can help you to start addressing difficulties with eating. You may have irregular eating patterns, feel guilty about eating certain foods, perhaps find it difficult to stop eating when you want to. Maybe you are preoccupied with feeling that you are fat or perhaps youve had an eating disorder. These and other problems related to eating can interfere with concentration and affect mood.
We will look at manageable changes that you can make. You will find out about the 5 week Help Yourself! Coping with Eating Distress course the Counselling Service runs and other resources you could access that might help you learn ways of preventing eating problems from becoming unmanageable.
The Getting Started workshop is a prerequisite for Help Yourself! Coping with Eating Distress, giving you an opportunity to opt in to the 5-week course.
