These workshops for staff and students run each term.

This session is a Zoom facilitated session. Please be aware, you must register before 10 am on the day of the workshop, in order to ensure there is enough time for the link to be sent.

One-off workshop

Mindfulness meditation is an effective way to manage stress, and improve your concentration and general health. Meditation can provide a means of becoming calmer and more relaxed. In meditation we learn to respond differently to our experiences and use awareness to undo our habitual responses.

The effects of meditation are cumulative. In these classes you will practise mindfulness of breathing and other practices, which enhance awareness and calm the mind.

You will learn:

Breath awareness

Body awareness and relaxation

Mindful movement practice

Mindfulness meditation practice, including cultivating kindliness towards yourself and empathy for others.

This Zoom workshop will provide an opportunity for Q&A for those who wish to engage in the chat at the end of the session. Audio and video functions will be disabled.
